Sherry Egger Biography

Sherry Egger comes from a background in graphic art, has continued her studies with established artists around the country and her drawings have developed into fine art.

Throughout her studies she has explored a variety of mediums and became proficient in many. She has shown regularly in coastal areas of the South and holds memberships in many local and national associations. Sherry’s work has been featured in The Colored Pencil Magazine and she has been selected to do a technique demonstration article for this magazine in 2014.

A popular instructor, she is comfortable with many different artistic mediums and her classes consist of not only pencilists but also those who paint in oil and acrylic. Her emphasis on fundamentals, values, and strong contrast bring both beginning artists as well as those who have been painting for years through her doors. Creativity is her strong suit and she is constantly experimenting with new techniques, new concepts and different mediums. Sherry has been an instructor for Glynn Visual Arts for many years and enjoyed several years with JIAA at the Goodyear Cottage.
