Patricia A. Walsh Patricia A. Walsh grew up in Central New York and attended Boston University’s School of Fine and Applied Arts graduating in 1973 with a B.F.A. in painting. Following her education, she worked as a graphic designer until becoming a Corrections Officer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In 2007 she was able to retire, moved from coastal MA and become a full time artist. Walsh currently resides on St. Helena Island SC where she lives close to the beach, has gardens and a studio and paints outside year round. Walsh is a member of the Beaufort Art Association and exhibits her paintings in “The Brick Wall” portion of their gallery. Walsh’s paintings set a scene and portray bits of everyday life - everything from a child playing at the beach, a lone individual in the doorway of a bar or some shrimp boats illuminated with an angled shaft of winter light. Her desire is to create works of art that show the mystery and beauty of everyday life.
