This in person workshop will concentrate on the principle concepts of the Impressionistic Style and Movement. We will interpret and demo; the technique of brushstrokes with wet-on-wet paint application, the selection of a brighter, non-mixed color palette, the designing of 'Open Compositions' and the practice of depicting natural-light and atmosphere in our paintings. The additional goal of this workshop is to understand how to encapsulate the "essence" of an everyday scene without the focus on its' individual details. While landscapes will be explored and discussed, a variety of subjects are welcome.
