Instruction will be in oils and some experience is recommended.

Come outside and paint St. Simons waterways "en plein air."  Tackle the challenge of painting water in the landscape, as we study its movement and reflections.  

Push your art to new levels through observation and practice, daily demos, group discussions and critiques.  

We will meet at different, inspiring water locations each day.

Registrations are not taken on-line at this time.

Studio Location: Artists Annex Gallery.100 Sylvan, #170.

A $100 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of registration to confirm your space. 

Checks are requested, but you may also pay by credit card at the time of registration.

The balance of the workshop fee is due 30 days in advance of the workshop.The gallery will send an alert email of balances due.

What to Expect:

The evening before (the beginning date of the workshop), the gallery will host a casual meet and greet, giving you the opportunity to meet your fellow students and the instructor. Since this workshop is En Plein Air, you will not need to unload your supplies at the Annex. The location for the morning start will be given out at this meet and greet.

Everyone is invited to an early dinner at a near-by restaurant. Everyone pays their own check.

Workshop size is generally limited to 10-12 students.

Classes begin at  9AM  and adjourn at  4PM.

Lunches can be ordered in advance through the gallery from a nearby restaurant. 

A menu selection will be sent to you to make your selections. You can order for one to all days. Generally, the check for lunches is made out directly to the restaurant.

Lodging:

St Simons is a busy resort island. Be sure you make your hotel reservations early. The Island is only 14 miles long, so nothing is too far away. We can send you some suggestions or feel free to call us for help with your travel.
