Rani Garner is a career artist living in rural Georgia. Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Arizona State University and has been painting professionally since 1989. Early-morning walks down country roads are a major source of inspiration for her landscapes. She seeks out exceptional light, the main subject of her art. She is a frequent visitor to the Gulf Coast and an avid painter of coastal skies and water, prized by collectors who are reminded of their own meaningful moments of communion with light and what it symbolizes to them. Another artist has said of her work, “It is as if she has taken the best parts of a day and condensed them down into one single, perfect moment.”
