Come enjoy cooler fall days and practice your plein air skills on the beautiful Georgia coast. In this workshop, we will learn to simplify elements of nature into large masses of light and dark, and to use those shapes to create movement and depth within our paintings. Our goal will be to understand how our mark making directs the viewer's eye through a composition and then use that knowledge to create more compelling and dynamic work. Sessions will meet in and around St. Simons Island and will include daily demos and soft critiques. Instruction will be in oil and painting experience is recommended.
