Bill Farnsworth will teach a 3-day oil paintings "Figure in Landscape" workshop. The figure gives a painting a narrative and scale. Bill will teach students how to simplify a figure to capture the essence of a gesture. He will talk about placing a figure from another photo into a landscape and making it look believable.
Each morning Bill will paint a step-by-step demo to show his approach to paining. The first day students will paint in black and white to explore the values from photos Bill will supply.
Day 2 and 3 students paint with limited color.
